Cajun is a top-quality American spice blend, characteristic primarily of the cuisine of the US state of Louisiana. The spice takes its name from an ethnic group which, since the very beginning, has had a major influence on the culture and, consequently, the cuisine of Louisiana. Typical Cajun dishes include dirty rice (rice cooked with chicken livers), gumbo, jambalaya, fried catfish and cornbread.

Cajun spice mix is a simple and tasty way to liven up almost any dish. Delicious and simple ingredients, most of which are also typical of European cuisine, will add variety to your meals and breathe new life into your cooking.

If you love well-seasoned food, you can add chilli for extra heat. However, if you prefer it less spicy, you can make your own Cajun mix using ingredients from our range.

Usage

Thanks mainly to its spiciness, it goes well with grilled and BBQ dishes. With its slightly spicy flavour and hints of thyme, it will also enhance all vegetable dishes, stews and goulash. It can also be added to potatoes and beans with bacon, where it really comes into its own.

Ingredients

Black pepper, white pepper, cayenne pepper, chilli, oregano, thyme, onion, garlic.

May contain traces of green and mustard.

Storage

Store in a dry, dark and cool place. Ensure that the bag or box is tightly sealed.
