Harissa

Harissa is a versatile Tunisian spice blend of the highest quality. It is an exceptionally aromatic and slightly more spicy (hot) spice blend, which can also be used to make a paste. North African cuisine is characterised by extremely hot dishes, so this spice blend is ideal for preparing them. However, our recipe is significantly less spicy. Lovers of strongly spiced food can add a little chilli to the mix. Traditionally, it is used in the preparation of almost all typical dishes from countries such as Algeria, Morocco or Tunisia. This spice gives your dishes a pleasant, warm heat with a touch of 1001 Nights.

Usage

It can be added to soups, bread, couscous, meat, vegetables and all kinds of rice dishes. Try it as an accompaniment to pasta with tomato sauce. It also goes perfectly with kebabs and in the traditional North African stew known as tagine or tajine.

You can also make a typical paste from the mixture, simply by adding any amount of olive oil to it.

Ingredients

Chilli, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin, salt, dried tomatoes, garlic, caraway, mint.

May contain traces of green and mustard.

Storage

Store in a dry, dark and cool place. Ensure that the bag or box is tightly sealed.

An airtight zip-lock bag, in which the product retains all its freshness and aroma. The packaging protects against light and air, as it consists of several layers of protection that preserve the properties of the contents.

The packaging is very practical and can be recycled.
