Tex Mex

Tex Mex is a top-quality spice blend. It is an excellent blend, used primarily for barbecue dishes or BBQ. It is also indispensable in Mexican cuisine. The name is derived from the words Texan and Mexican. It combines the flavours of two cultures to make them even better. Typical Tex-Mex dishes originate from the cuisine of the descendants of the Spanish-speaking population. These dishes are extremely similar to Mexican ones, but are characterised much more by the addition of cheese, the use of different spice blends, the use of crisps instead of tortillas, and so on.

Uses

Try the mix in the rich flavours of America and Mexico. Prepare enchiladas, tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas and other typical Mexican dishes. With the addition of the mix, you can also enjoy classic American burgers, roast chicken wings and other barbecued dishes.

You can also use the spice mix to make marinades. Of course, the spice mix also goes perfectly with vegetable dishes, stuffed peppers, stews and the like. Sprinkle the mix over vegetables such as sweetcorn, broccoli, cauliflower and peppers, and roast them straight in the oven. Or, combined with mayonnaise or another sauce, try it in a potato salad with egg, beans, onion, sweetcorn and tomatoes.

Ingredients

Smoked paprika, onion, chilli, pepper, coriander, mustard seeds, garlic, nutmeg, cumin, ginger, allspice, oregano, basil, thyme, cane sugar, rosemary, turmeric, bay leaf.

Contains mustard seeds. May contain traces of green.

Storage

Store in a dry, dark and cool place. Ensure that the bag or box is tightly sealed.
